The Power of the Comfort – all comfort
a. There is no comfort that we need that He can’t supply
b. Comfort comes from His character-it’s who He is-God is Love 1 John 4:16
The Personalness of the Comfort – who comforteth us
a. Isaiah 66:13 like a mother
b. Comfort comes from empathy – Heb 4:15 , He was touched with the feeling of our infirmities.
The Purpose of the Comfort – comfort others
a. Romans 12:15 weep with them who weep
b. Isaiah 40:1 we are to comfort others
The Parallel of the Comfort – For as the sufferings, so our consolation.
a. For every trial, there is equal and sufficient consolation.
b. 2 Cor. 4:17 our affliction can’t compare to what’s coming
