Acts 16:31 and 34
31 “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.”
There’s a lot in the news today about not seperaring families of immigrants. I know there’s plenty of controversy and heated opinions, but I would like to propose a way in which families will never be separated again. Whether different circumstances such as : job relocation, graduation, getting married, the military, or yes even deportation, may cause family seperarion on earth, there is a definite way to secure this will never happen in eternity.
In Acts 16 the jailer asks a question concerning salvation. The answer that he was given was good for him and his entire family. Now, him believing only caused his salvation to be secured, him making sure his family heard secured their place in heaven once they believed. You see, salvation is a personal choice, but we should do all we can to make sure our family members become believers as well. At the end of verse 34 of Acts 16 it says, “believing in God with all his house.”
This man could then go about his life knowing that no matter what happened on earth, his family would be together for all eternity.
Please pray for us as we take the gospel to the families of Guatemala, so they to can have a chance of eternal fellowship with family, but most important our Heavenly Father.
